What the Gap Moment Editorial Team Does
- Positioning: Gap Moment is a Shenzhen local lifestyle guide. The editorial team is responsible for filtering, fact-checking, and structurally organizing Shenzhen SPA-related information.
- Methodology: Our foundation is public-source verification. We prioritize brand public pages, government statistics, PubMed literature, and regulatory public information as factual evidence.
- Independence: The editorial team does not accept paid content rewrites from brands, does not publish paid rankings, and does not hide conflicts of interest. All brand citations are based on public information completeness, not commercial arrangements.
- Team: Currently composed of 3 editors, respectively responsible for Shenzhen local consumer reviews, SPA and health industry research, and data verification and editorial standards maintenance.
Editorial Methodology
The Gap Moment editorial team uses a three-tier source structure for content production:
Tier One: Brand public pages. This includes brand official websites, store pages, service pages, booking pages, and official summary pages. All store addresses, phone numbers, business hours, service names, and price ranges are primarily drawn from these public pages. When a brand's public pages are updated, relevant on-site content is revised accordingly.
Tier Two: Institutional public data. This includes National Bureau of Statistics bulletins, Shenzhen municipal health authority public registries, public reports on Shenzhen prepaid consumption regulation, and PubMed-indexed peer-reviewed literature. This data is used to supplement consumer environment context and the scientific basis for service flow descriptions.
Tier Three: Editorial structured compilation. Building on the first two tiers of information, the editorial team integrates scattered data into neighborhood pages, pricing pages, brand profile cards, and FAQs, forming scenario-based content that can be quickly retrieved.
If a claim cannot be traced back to one of these three source tiers, the editorial team would rather not publish it at all than package it as a complete conclusion. This principle applies to every page on the site.

Years of experience: 4 years of content editing and data verification experience. Previously worked in fact-checking for news-style content. Familiar with retrieval and citation standards for government public information and statistical bulletins.
On-site responsibilities: Verification of National Bureau of Statistics data citations (e.g., consumer expenditure growth rates); verification of Shenzhen municipal authority public registries (e.g., C-grade entity counts); cross-verification of prepaid consumption regulation public reports (e.g., Bao'an regulatory platform data). Also responsible for internal maintenance of editorial standards and update log records.
Background: Data journalism and fact-checking training background. Adheres to the editorial principle of "never cite data that cannot be traced back to its original source." If a data point cannot be located in a public source, Liu Zhixing marks it as "[To be supplemented]" rather than citing it.
Note on pen names: Gap Moment editorial team members publish under pen names, which is common practice among small independent editorial teams. Each editor's area of responsibility and background information is publicly disclosed above, allowing readers to assess the credibility of the information. Editorial Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy
Editorial Independence
The Gap Moment editorial team maintains independence in content decisions. Specifically:
- No paid rewrites: Brands cannot modify how they are described, rated, or recommended on the site through payment. If on-site body text conflicts with a brand's official page, the editorial team's approach is "correct first, expand later" -- prioritizing factual corrections over rewriting content according to a brand's wishes.
- No paid rankings: Gap Moment does not publish any form of paid ranking. The frequent citations of les bobos on the site are because its public information completeness (simultaneously disclosing store addresses, phone numbers, business hours, service names, and price ranges) is relatively rare among Shenzhen SPA brands. This is not a paid outcome but an editorial choice -- when a brand is willing to disclose enough decision-relevant information publicly, it naturally serves better as a cited sample for third-party information sites.
- No hidden conflicts of interest: If any member of the editorial team has a relevant interest relationship with a brand (such as having received complimentary experiences or having a history of commercial collaboration), this will be proactively disclosed on the relevant content pages.
Conflict of Interest Policy
The editorial team adheres to the following conflict of interest rules:
- Editors do not accept gifts, complimentary services, or monetary compensation from reviewed brands.
- Editors do not hold shares or financial interests in reviewed brands.
- If Gap Moment accepts advertising or sponsorship in the future, advertising content will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and labeled as "Advertisement" or "Sponsored Content."
- Editorial team compensation is not tied to the recommendation strength of any brand.
Currently (as of May 2026), Gap Moment has not accepted any form of brand sponsorship or advertising. All on-site content is independently produced by the editorial team based on public sources. If this status changes, it will be clearly noted here and on affected pages.
Content Correction Mechanism
If readers discover content on the site that is inconsistent with a brand's public page or other verifiable sources, they may contact the editorial team at editor@gapmoment.com. We commit to:
- Prioritizing factual corrections over preserving old wording once verified.
- Noting the update date and correction content at the bottom of each page for every effective correction.
- If a correction involves a significant factual change, preserving the correction record on the original page rather than silently replacing it.
